The market
Why this market.
01
Germany rewards clarity and punishes vagueness. For technical, industrial and B2B businesses, the information a buyer needs before deciding runs far deeper than a standard service page is built to carry.
02
The work is turning that depth into structured content without flattening it into generic SEO copy. Product pages explain the thing, use-case pages the problem, case studies the proof.
03
Localisation is the part most international companies underestimate, and it is usually the reason a well-funded entry into this market quietly underperforms.
Germany Trade & Invest forecasts 2026 ICT revenue of 246.4 billion euros and describes the country as the fourth-largest ICT market globally.
Where buyers stall
What buyers here get stuck on.
German-language localisation that reads as native
Technical and B2B SEO for engineered products
Entity and product clarity across a complex catalogue
Answer structures for specification-level questions
Thought leadership from engineers rather than marketers
International SEO that does not collide with the home market
One idea worth taking away
Translation is not localisation
Translation gives accurate German that is still wrong, because buyer questions, specifications and expected proof differ. Have a German-speaking engineer mark every sentence no domestic competitor would write.
What I help with
Services for Germany.
How it runs
The first month, step by step.
Something ships in two weeks.
Analytics, Search Console, and what customers ask before buying.
People cannot find you, or do not trust you. Fix one properly.
A page, a format or a profile cleanup. Small enough to finish.
A short monthly note: what worked, what did not, what is next.
Search and AI discovery
Assistants add a step, not a new playbook.
A clear entity, useful answers and credible evidence feed search and assistants alike.
- Search
- Impressions, clicks and the queries that convert.
- Coverage
- Buying questions with a real answer on the site.
- Entity
- Whether the company is described the same way off-site.
- AI citation
- Directional only. Not a ranking.
- Business
- Qualified enquiries and assisted conversions.
Nobody can promise
- Whether an assistant cites a given page.
- A ranking by a set date.
The method is in the AEO Playbook.
- Remote engagements, from Bengaluru.
- No local office or team is claimed.
Questions
Asked most.
Do German pages need to be in German?
If German-speaking buyers are the target, yes, and genuinely localised rather than translated. English-only can work for some SaaS categories and fails badly in industrial ones.
Can you target Germany from outside the country?
Yes, with proper market research and localisation. I would work with a native speaker on the language layer rather than pretend that part is optional.
Is this only for industrial companies?
No. SaaS, technology and professional services fit too. The common factor is a product complex enough that explaining it well is a competitive advantage.
